The only 9-hole public golf course on the North Shore, this property is open to local residents and their guests and to non-residents. It is an executive-level layout that measures 1,603 yards and has a par of 30, a rating of 27 and a slope of 80, all carefully designed and contained in a 98-acre park. The resulting enjoyable course is small, hilly and surrounded by trees. Even without water hazards, it has a moderately difficult rating and presents a great opportunity for beginners, seniors and those who wish to work on their short game. Children of age seven and older may play when accompanied by a parent or guardian. After being closed for renovations, the facility has just recently re-opened in 2011. This well-maintained golf course sits conveniently close to the Long Island Expressway for easy access. Cart rentals and a putting green are available. Currently the park is open daily, except Mondays, from mid-March until December.
