For a great no-frills public golf course that offers nine holes of interesting play and lots of room to practice your short game, Dix Hills delivers a challenge for players of all levels. The 2,574-yard course has a par 35 value. While there are few trees and no water hazards, the predominantly flat terrain offers narrow fairways and medium-size greens. A practice putting green, a Pro shop and individual or group lessons are available on-site. Seniors are eligible for a discount, as are those who choose to play a second round. The dress code is minimal. Players can also enjoy food and beer at the snack bar.
