Have you ever thought about opening your home to an adolescent who needs guidance, stability, acceptance and love? Would you want to help keep siblings together if they cannot live with their biological parents? Hope For Youth is actively recruiting individuals or couples to become certified therapeutic foster parents to Long Island children in need.
Hope For Youth is dedicated to facilitating positive change in the lives of children, adolescents and families. They provide stable, nurturing, residential care, foster care, preventive and outpatient programs that educate, motivate and empower individuals to become self-sufficient and achieve their full potential. As a foster parent with Hope For Youth you will receive training and ongoing support from an agency that has been providing child welfare services for almost 50 years.
Foster parents accept a child into their safe and welcoming home, provide nutritious meals, follow up with medical and clinical appointments, become involved in the educational plan and daily needs of the child and accepts the child as a member of the family. Orientations for potential foster parents are held monthly at HFY in Amityville. Please call to register or visit the HFY website to fill out an online inquiry form and learn more about the services provided by Hope For Youth.
