This semi-private 18-hole golf course, which sits in the beautiful heart of Long Island wine country, is the creation of Herbert Strong. It has a 6,700-yard layout from its longest tees, a par value of 72, a rating of 71.2 and a slope of 123. The course may very well boast of presenting some of the finest greens on Long Island. Bunkers, moguls, doglegs, trees and foliage can complicate play. Then there are the sea breezes, which are always shifting and unpredictable. Because golfers can choose from four tee boxes on each hole, all levels of skill can enjoy this course. A driving range and practice green are available, as are showers, a lounge, a restaurant and catering services both on and off the premises. The Island’s End Grill is open to the public for breakfast and lunch, daily during the season. Course rates are reduced during Twilight hours.
