The Long Island Soaring Association (LISA) is a member-run Gliding club formed in 1955 to promote the Sport of Soaring. We aim to make it affordable and to give people on Long Island the opportunity to learn how to fly in a friendly club setting. LISA has four Sailplanes and our instructors donate their time to teach other members how to fly them. We fly at Brookhaven Airport every weekend and sometimes on Wednesdays. We invite anyone interested in learning how to fly Sailplanes to come out and meet us and perhaps take a flight with one of our qualified instructors.
