Lighting The Way Transition House is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is to establish affordable housing for men and women on Long Island. Currently the organization is operating two transitional houses. The Work program provides affordable housing for men who are currently employed but not financially stable. Lighting The Way Community Development Center is located at 220 Washington Ave, Deer Park NY. The services that are provided at the community center include substance abuse counseling, case management, the rite to passage program for teenage females, youth awareness and ESL classes English as a Second Language, all programs are free no charge to the participants.
