Founded in 1891 as a 9-hole course and named for Maidstone, England, the original layout followed a minimalist approach that was designed by John and Willie Park, Jr. Today, the 18-hole private course offers members and their guests a choice between the short, 18-hole West Course, which has a distance of 6,423 yards and a par value of 72 and the East Course, which supplies a more family-friendly, 9-hole game. The longest distance is 3,108 yards and the par has a 37 value. This golf club is one of only six located directly on the Atlantic Ocean and the incredible views are never disappointing.
