This 9-hole public course was designed by David W. Gordon. It is one of five municipal courses owned and operated by Nassau County. Longer to play than it might appear, the basically flat layout measures 2,282 yards and has a par value of 31. There are four par-4s that average 363 yards and no par-5 holes. In addition to the course, patrons can enjoy the 22-bay driving range, putting green, a stocked Pro shop and an alcohol-free snack bar. The park also offers both small and Olympic-size swimming pools, tennis, ball fields and a lounge area. Nassau residents, seniors, volunteer fire fighters and the disabled qualify for discounts. The golf course is closed on Thursdays and open March through December. The dress code is minimal.
