The Northport Historical Society features rotating exhibits that focus on local interests and makes use of items from their permanent collection of maritime, agricultural, architectural and cultural artifacts. Items in the collection depict common 19th century life and includes a diorama of Northport's charming Main Street, a fully furnished replicas of the homes of the families living in the small port-town and a model of the 1905 Northport Fire House. Several educational programs are offers to help students cultivate and interest and awareness of the towns historical roots and values.
