Owned by the Town of Oyster Bay and open to the public, this 18-hole golf course was designed by Thomas Fazio in 1989 on 121 acres. While it is a bit short in length, it offers challenge and interest from start to finish. The course may be played from different tees ranging from 5,101 yards to 6,376 yards with a par value of 70. Water hazards, extremely narrow fairways and bunkers built from both sand and grass present enough challenge for even experienced, strong players. There are unexpected elevation changes on the hilly, tiered greens. Grass depressions and mounding complicate the game further. This amazing woodland park sits much like an oasis in the middle of the busy commercial center of Nassau County. From an easy walk to an occasional climb, golfers will enjoy a great workout on this well-maintained course. Before or after their game, patrons can enjoy the services of any of the three restaurants in the turn-of-the-century mansion clubhouse. Volunteer firemen and policemen, residents, seniors and juniors qualify for discounts. Junior golf camps are regularly scheduled.
