Since its founding in 1928, this English-style, 18-hole private golf course has carefully guarded its privacy. It may have originally been squeezed into 107 acres as an afterthought, but today, everything about the club is purposeful and prestigious. It may well be one of the most picturesque golfing spots in Nassau County. Many of the trees and plantings were saved during the construction of the course, giving it a mature feeling. Water hazards are present. The layout is 6,450 yards long from its longest tees with a par of 71, a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 132. There are clearly differentiated men’s and women’s courses. Members enjoy the Pro shop, Har-Tru tennis courts, swimming pool, full bar and excellent dining services. Catering is available for wedding and other special events. The course is open from March through December.
