The Southold Indian Museum is owned and operated by the Incorporate Long Island Chapter of the New York State Archeological Association. The Museum offers the largest collection of Algonquin ceramic pottery in existence, an impressive collection of pots and bowls carved out of soapstone, a large number of spear-heads and arrowheads fashioned for hunting a variety of wildlife, and a noteworthy display of knives, hoe blades, hammer and other tools.
