The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is an independent not-for-profit organization with the authority to enforce cruelty laws, but it is not affiliated with any other local, state, or national organization. The organization promotes the welfare of all animals, and seeks to protect any abused, neglected, or abandoned animals.
Among its many efforts, the Suffolk SPCA acts to educate pet owners, stop dog fighting, prevent cruelty and neglect, and find homes for pets in need for adoption.
