St. Patty's Day Came Early to Huntington Town.

12 Mar, 2012 10:58 p.m.

This passed Saturday, the Town of Huntington hosted their annual St. Patrick's Day parade - an all day festivity celebrating Irish culture & heritage. Additionally, local venue The Paramount hosted Dropkick Murphys - a Boston-based Irish punk band on their annual St. Patty's Day tour.

I was lucky enough to be in attendance for the show - which seemed to be a continuation of the parade festivities.

The show was sold out, and there were hundreds in attendance - including many of those who were in the parade earlier in the day, as well as locals from all over Long Island who came out to enjoy the show.

With St. Patrick's Day this upcoming weekend - what are your plans? Is there anything extra-exciting going on that you're partaking in? I had a blast this weekend, and I'd love to find some fun activities to partake in next weekend.

Welp, I'm jealous, I'd love a chance to see Dropkick Murphys around this time of year. I think I'll actually be celebrating my brother's birthday (which is really on the 15th) this St Patty's Day, so there should be a good mix of green beer and birthday cake that night.
