The Fourth Squad reports on the arrest of three South Carolina men for the Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 1:05 AM in Island Park.
According to Detectives, Fourth Precinct Officers on routine patrol did observe a 2022 black Chevrolet Malibu traveling southbound on Austin Boulevard that failed to maintain its lane properly.
Officers initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Stop near the intersection of Austin Boulevard and California Place; and after conducting an investigation, a loaded black Taurus G2C 9mm pistol and unloaded Glock 30 45mm pistol were both located inside the vehicle.
The driver, defendant Isiah Morant, 23 of 3245 Lucius Road, Columbia, SC, and two passengers, defendants Trevonte Miller, 24 of 1116 Rockyknoll Drive, Columbia, SC and Hampton Dais, 24 of 222 Bennington Circle, Columbia, SC, were all placed under arrest without incident.
Defendant Trevonte Miller is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree.
Defendant Hampton Dais is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree.
Defendant Isaiah Morant is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
All three defendants were arraigned on Monday, January 2, 2023 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
