North Bay Shore, NY - January 3rd, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting death that occurred in North Bay Shore last night.
An unknown male suspect was at the door of a residence located at 1681 N Gardiner Drive and a resident in the house opened the door and the suspect walked in. James Creekmore, who was also a resident of the house, was returning home and upon entering, Creekmore was shot by the suspect who fled the scene at 9:55 p.m.
Creekmore, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Medical Examiner.
