Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - - Heavy rainfall results in the potential for flooding. While much of the flooding is expected to be localized, significant flooding is possible due to rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. NCSPCA Offering $2,500 Reward for Info on Two Dogs Abandoned in Hempstead

Hempstead, NY - January 3rd, 2014 - The Nassau County SPCA is offering a $2,500.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for abandoning two dogs without food and water at a vacant property on Alabama Avenue in Hempstead Village. According to news reports, an underweight pit bull puppy was found inside and a bulldog was found chained  outside. 
 
The Nassau County SPCA is offering this reward as it feels someone knows who left these voiceless creatures in deplorable conditions. We feel that it is necessary to use every available tool in fighting animal cruelty to ensure that the abusers face the  maximum penalty under the law!
