Max Scherzer, a Cy Young Award-winning pitcher who currently plays for the New York Mets, has reportedly purchased a $5 million mansion located in Old Brookville on Long Island.

The whopping price that Scherzer paid is said to have been discounted from the original asking price by as much as $400,000.

However, Scherzer can certainly afford his new residence, having been signed by the Mets to a 3-year, $130 million contract in December 2022.
