Nassau Police Investigating Shooting that Took Place in Elmont Friday Morning

According to detectives, Fifth Precinct police responded to a Shot Spotter call on Baylis Avenue in the vicinity of Parkway Drive.

Fifth Squad detectives report the details of a shooting that occurred in Elmont on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 4:22 am.
 
According to detectives, Fifth Precinct police responded to a Shot Spotter call on Baylis Avenue in the vicinity of Parkway Drive.
 
Officers interviewed a male victim, 50, who stated he heard 5 loud gunfire sounds. Four 9mm shell casings were recovered in the roadway. 
 
There were no injuries reported. The investigation is continuing.
