Elderly Couple Perishes Following Tragic Levittown Vehicle Crash; Police Investigating
The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 5:30 pm in Levittown.
According to Detectives, Gerhard Frobart of Farmingdale, 89 was operating a 2001 Ford Taurus southbound on Loring Road with his passenger, Ella Gimpel of East Meadow, 88, when his vehicle left the roadway and, struck a utility pole. Frobart was pronounced deceased at scene.
Gimpel suffered serious injuries and was transported by Nassau County Police Ambulance to a local area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation is on-going.
