When Officer Bethany Green returned to work as a patrolwoman in the Suffolk County Police Department after her deployment in the Middle East, she presented flags and a plaque to the third precinct where she works.
Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Inspector John Rowan and Deputy Inspector Darrel Simmons welcomed Green back to work and accepted the plaque.
Green, a patrol officer in the Third Precinct, is also a Major in the United States Army. She recently returned from a deployment in the Middle East.
According to her online profile, Green serves as a JAG attorney in the New York Army National Guard and is a former Suffolk County assistant district attorney. She served in Afghanistan in 2011 to 2012 and joined the police force in 2013. She was also a Stony Brook University 40 Under 40 honoree.
