Marie Lanfrit, 78, of Bay Shore, was taken via ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious physical injuries.

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Bay Shore this afternoon.
 
Ken Anthony was driving a 2005 Ford southbound on 5th Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto the eastbound lanes of Spur Drive North and struck a pedestrian that was attempting to cross Spur Drive North at 5:45 p.m.
 
The pedestrian, Marie Lanfrit, 78, of Bay Shore, was taken via ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious physical injuries. Anthony, 65, of Central Islip, was not injured.
 
The Ford was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
