West Babylon, NY - January 9th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today in West Babylon.

A man entered TD Bank, located at 701 W. Montauk Hwy., at approximately 11:55 a.m., approached a teller, and produced a note stating he had a gun and demanded cash.  The teller complied with the demand and gave the suspect cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot eastbound through the parking lot.

The robber is described as a white male, with light brown hair, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 25-30 years-old, with a thin build. He was unshaven, wearing a grey Hollister sweatshirt, black baseball hat, and sunglasses.
