Frida's Mexican Grill Opens in Seaford

Frida's Mexican Grill, a new Mexican restaurant, has opened in Seaford serving up authentic food in a cool casual dining atmosphere.

 

Try the guacamole a la vista made with fresh avocados and tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, cilantro and a hint of lime juice ($13.95) - a favorite of online reviewers. Appetizers also include the ceviche de pescado, white fish cooked in lime juice, accompanied with cherry tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and a slice of avocado ($15.95).

Soups include a sopa de frijoles, a black bean soup topped with Mexican sour cream and Cotija cheese ($6.95) and their salads feature Frida’s salad, lettuce with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and red sweet peppers served with their house dressing ($10.95).

 

Chose from their many taco options including tacos clasicos, three crispy or soft taco shells filled with your choice of chicken, or ground beef, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and Mexican cheese and taco sauce ($15.95) or Frida’s street tacos, three soft corn tortillas with your choice of grilled skirt steak, chicken, chorizo or shrimp, topped with cilantro and onions and served with a homemade Mexican street salsa ($20.95).

 

Their classic Mexican entrees includes tampiquenas, grilled shell Steak paired with an enchilada, topped with tampiquena sauce, served with rice and black beans ($24.95), carnitas michoacan, fried pork served with rice and beans ($20.95), and arroz con pollo, chicken breast sauteed with garlic and white wine with a touch of tampiqueno sauce mixed with Mexican rice, served with refried beans ($18.95), among other dishes.

On Yelp, Fred K, from Massapequa, gave Frida’s five stars.

 

“A wonderful new look and an amazing new restaurant,” he wrote. “I frequented the location for years but the new owner, the new fresh look, great attentive service and yummy entrees are all reasons to come back!”

 

Kelly C, from Seaford, also said she had a great experience when she went.

 

“They had a live band and made it just in time for $5 margaritas,” she wrote. “Ordered the fresh guacamole and it was amazing. They make it in front of you to so it is made to your liking. Met the owner Carla and the manager Tony. Both were super nice and attentive to all the guests. Overall experience was 10/10.”
