Suspect Wanted for Burglarizing Riverhead Restaurant

Riverhead, NY - January 12th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole money from a restaurant in Riverhead last September.

An unknown black man entered the Dark Horse Restaurant, located at 1 East Main St., on September 26, 2014, between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and removed $200 from the register.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans with white embroidery on the rear pockets, a brown hooded jacket, and a white shirt. He was wearing large headphones around his neck, with black and possibly red coloring with metal on the frame of the headphones.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
