AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Brooklyn Man Arrested for Using Stolen Credit Cards, According to Suffolk Authorities

SCPD have arrested Stanley Roney of Brooklyn, 37, for using stolen credit cards.

Suffolk County, NY - January 14, 2019 - Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for using stolen credit cards on Friday, January 11.
 
Second Squad detectives, along with Fifth Squad detectives and Sixth Squad detectives, have been investigating more than a dozen cases of credit cards stolen from vehicles, several of which were located in gym parking lots. Some of the stolen credit cards were used to purchase gift cards, Apple watches and other items. An investigation by Second, Fifth and Sixth squads identified the suspect as Stanley Roney.
 
Roney, 37, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with eight counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, 16 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and 10 counts of Identity Theft 2nd Degree.
 
Roney will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on January 12.
