One Long Islander is now set for life after an extraordinarily lucky New York State Lottery win.
 
Mack Peoples of Brentwood scored the top prize last week for the Lottery's 10,000 a Week for Life scratch-off game, which he purchased at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 1375 Brentwood Road in Bay Shore, according to lottery officials.
 
The top prize of the contest guarantees a $10,000 payment a week for the life ot the winner, with a minimum guaranteed payout of $10 million. However, Peoples instead decided to take a single lump sum payment in lieu of the weekly stipends, which came to approximately $4.2 million after a required taxes and withholdings.
