Pedestrian Killed Crossing Express Drive in Brentwood

Suffolk County Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood tonight.

Brentwood, NY - January 16th, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood tonight.

Nicholas Takaki was driving a 2001 Lincoln, eastbound on Express Drive South when he struck an unknown pedestrian crossing the street from south to north at approximately 5:50 p.m. The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

Takaki, 27, of Brentwood stayed at the scene. His vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
