Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman announced county warming centers will be open around the clock, 24 hours a day as temperatures plummet below freezing.

“These centers and services are open for anyone who needs them, at all hours of the day.” County Executive Blakeman said.  “With forecasters predicting dangerously cold temperatures, no one should be out in the cold.”

Nassau County will also have resources on hand to provide any mental health services residents may need, and programs available for the homeless. If residents see someone who may need shelter overnight, please call the Nassau County Winter Homeless Hotline 1-866-WARMBED (1-866-927-6233).
