Southold Historical Museum’s 2023 Winter Lecture Series, “Local Farming Through the Years,” sponsored by NOFO Real Estate continues in February with a talk by Al Krupski.  This second lecture in the series “Krupski Farming” will be held on February 15, 2023 at 4pm at Southold Town Recreation Center at 970 Peconic Lane, Peconic, NY 11958.  The guest speaker, Al Krupski, will share the interesting farming history of his family as well as some of his personal experiences.

Krupski is well-known for his public service.  He currently serves as Suffolk County Legislator, a position he has been elected to hold for the past 10 years.  Prior to that, he held positions in Southold Town.  However, Krupski’s tenure as a farmer is much longer than his 28 years as a public servant.  A fourth-generation farmer, he grew up in a farming family and continued the tradition alongside his wife, Mary.  The legacy continues through their children who are also part of Krupski Farms.

Deanna Witte-Walker, Southold Historical Museum’s executive director, stated, “When you talk to Al about farming, it feels like it is part of his soul.  His expertise and experience are evident, but what strikes me the most is how deeply connected Al is with the land. We are extremely grateful to him and the other speakers for sharing their passion.”

The Winter Lecture Series is presented free and open to the public.  Programs such as these support the mission of Southold Historical Museum to promote interest in and education about our local history.  The Museum is thankful to the community for its support and especially to NOFO Real Estate for their sponsorship of the “Local Farming through the Years” Winter Lecture Series.
