It’s all about the chicken at Hot Chicken Mama, one of the newest restaurants in Blue Point.
You can get sides like fries, burnt brussels, mac and cheese, onion springs, or purple slaw (all $3.99) but you’re gonna go for the chicken. A deceivingly simple menu features plates of white meat, drumsticks, thighs, wings, nuggets, and tenders all can be made with your tolerance of heat from homestyle with no heat to XL, which comes with the tagline, “sign the waiver.” It’s hot! They also serve chicken and waffles ($12.00) on weekends.

On Yelp, Anne L. said she had a great experience on opening week when the restaurant was packed.
“The owners and the staff are so sweet and welcoming and even with a hectic line they don't make you feel rushed,” she said. “My food was amazing and so was my lemonade. I will definitely come back when the line dies down a little. But if you are thinking about going, the wait is worth it!”
