AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who used stolen credit cards at multiple locations last year.

Rocky Point, NY - January 22nd, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who used stolen credit cards at multiple locations last year.
 
A purse containing credit cards was stolen from a 2005 Jeep Liberty that was parked at Island Hill Stables, located at 25 Rocky Point Road, Middle Island, on June 30, 2013. A male used the credit cards at multiple locations including GameStop, located at 346 Route 25A, Rocky Point, and Ocean 5 Seafood, located at 99 Route 25A, Shoreham, the same day.
 
The man was wearing a shirt with dark- and light-colored horizontal stripes with a dark-colored, three-quarter length jacket and a red or maroon baseball hat.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
