Mangano Announces Park Closures Due To Storm

Due to the impending winter storm, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announces park closures and program cancellations.

Closings and cancellations are in place at Nassau County parks as Winter Storm Jonas arrives.

Nassau County, NY - January 22, 2016 - Due to the impending winter storm, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announces the following park closures and program cancellations:

  • The Nassau County Aquatic Center will be closing at 12:00 p.m. Saturday and will reopen at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday
  • The Nassau County Rifle Range will be closing at 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
  • Outdoor Ice Rinks at Grant Park, Christopher Morley Park and Cantiague Park are closed Saturday, all scheduled events are canceled and facilities will reopen Sunday afternoon.
  • Tackapausha Museum and Preserve and Garvies Point Museum and Preserve are also closed Saturday.
