Lucky Long Islander Is 10K Richer After Buying Winning Lottery Ticket at Hempstead Convenience Store
A lucky Long Islander recently added nearly $10,000 their bank account after hitting it big with a winning New York State Lottery ticket.
The individual in question purchased a top-prize winning Take 5 ticket at the Double Diamond Food Mart located at 196 Henry Street in Hempstead, according to NYS Lottery officials.
The ticket, which was part of the drawing held on Thursday, January 18, scored the winner $9,334.50.
Winners have up to one calendar year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
