The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an undomiciled woman for an incident that occurred on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 8:28 am in Hewlett.
According to Detectives, a Nassau County Police Department crossing guard was covering her school crossing assignment at the intersection of Broadway and Stevenson Avenue. The defendant, Dominga Rudder, 46, approached the crossing guard and started yelling at her.
The yelling escalated and the defendant threw several pieces of ice at her striking her in the leg. The defendant fled on foot and was located by Fourth Precinct officers near the intersection of Broadway and Rockaway Avenue where she was placed into police custody without incident.
The victim was treated for her injuries at the scene by a Nassau County Police Department Medic. No other injuries were reported.
While officers were processing the arrest at the Fourth Precinct the defendant stated that she would kill the officers and knew where the precinct was located.
Defendant Rudder is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Harassment 2nd Degree and Making a Terroristic Threat. She will be arraigned on Friday, January 24, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
