The First Squad reports the arrest of two Roosevelt males for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 9:47 p.m. in Baldwin.
According to Detectives, a male victim, 60, left his 2015 Toyota Rav4 running and entered Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 1221 Grand Avenue. When the victim returned to his vehicle, he realized it was stolen and immediately called 911.
A short time later, Freeport Police Department Officers observed the vehicle traveling Westbound on E. Seaman Avenue in the vicinity of N. Columbus Avenue in Freeport. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. The male passenger exited the vehicle and fled scene on foot but was apprehended nearby and placed into custody. The driver remained at scene and was arrested without incident.
Defendant Joseph Felton, 32, of 21 E. Clinton Avenue is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree. Defendant Patrick Knight, 34, of 100 Willets Place is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
