Albany, NY - January 24, 2017 - Senator Todd Kaminsky passionately spoke on the Senate floor in support of a bill that will expand presumptive cancer coverage for volunteer firefighters.

“We must do all we can for firefighters, who sacrifice so much for us and our safety,” said Senator Todd Kaminsky. “These brave men and women put themselves in dangerous situations to save lives -- the least we can do take care of them if they become sick with cancer. The price of volunteering should never be overwhelming medical bills.”

Senator Kaminsky has been a strong advocate for firefighters, also speaking on the floor last June in favor of expanded health care coverage.
