AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 11 PM EDT MONDAY The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following counties: New York, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam. from 11 AM to 11 PM EDT Sunday. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The Air Quality Index, or AQI, was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the AQI value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Alexander Troso, 21, is being charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, officials report.

NCPD reports the arrest of Alexander Troso of Rockville Centre, 21, for Burglary.

Rockville Centre, NY - January 25, 2017 - The First Squad reports the arrest of a Rockville Centre man for Burglary that occurred on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:15 pm in Rockville Centre.
 
According to detectives, a 56 year old female home health care aide was inside a second floor Rockville Centre bedroom when she observed an unknown male subject open the bedroom door and attempt to enter. The subject saw the victim and then ran downstairs and exited the home through a front window. 
 
The Rockville Centre police were called and after an investigation defendant Alexander Troso, 21, was placed under arrest at his home at 1:08 am on Thursday, January 25, 2018. There were no proceeds.
 
Defendant Troso is being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
