On February 10, the Town of Brookhaven Department of General Services Youth Bureau Division will present “The More You Know... Substance Abuse Education Workshop for Parents and Students.” This free workshop is open to all Brookhaven Town residents. It will be presented in the 2nd floor Media Room at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville.
The topics covered at the workshop will be “Adolescent Behavior and Development,” “Why Adolescents Experiment with Substances,” “Current Trends in Adolescent Drug Use” and “Talking to Adolescents About Healthy Decision Making.” Free drug testing kits will be available and light refreshments will be served.
