Four Teens Attack Associate with Bats, Knife at Victim's Levittown Home, Police Report
Levittown, NY - January 29, 2017 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of four individuals for an Assault that occurred at 3:15pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Levittown.
According to Detectives, the four defendants knocked on the front door of a residence on Gardiners Avenue looking for the nineteen year old male victim regarding money. Defendant Kevin Chicas, 17, of Levittown drove all four to the scene. Defendants Abdul Muzaffar, 18, of Levittown and Joseph Dimperio, 17, of Mineola stood holding baseball bats.
Defendant Aiden McCaughey, 18, of Levittown banged on the door and opened the storm door; when the victim opened the interior door he stepped in where a struggle ensued. Defendant McCaughey pulled a knife from his pocket and the victim suffered injuries to three fingers and a laceration on his chest.
When the victim’s father arrived, all four defendants fled the scene on foot. Defendant Chicas remained on scene and was arrested without incident. The victim was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Defendant Abdul Muzaffar was arrested at his residence; 11:40pm on January 24, 2018.
Defendant Aiden McCaughey was arrested at his residence; 3:20pm on January 25, 2018.
Defendant Joseph Dimperio was arrested on Division Avenue Levittown at 10:30am on January 26, 2018. All four defendants are each charged with Gang Assault 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree. All arraigned in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
