Recently, Legislator Samantha A. Goetz joined Legislator Rose Marie Walker, New York State Senator Steve Rhoads, and Oyster Bay Councilwoman Vicki Walsh at the Nassau County Junior Firefighters Association’s 18th annual installation dinner.

The NCJFA is an organization made up of over 40 different Junior Firefighter/Explorer organizations from all over Nassau County. The young adults in the NJCFA attend meetings, events, community service opportunities, and a yearly camp to help them gain first-hand experiences in volunteering as a firefighter. There are also opportunities for leadership positions through an executive board of officers from the NCJFA. The installation dinner recognized the achievements of the outgoing board of officers while welcoming the incoming officers to their newly appointed positions.

“Nassau County is so fortunate to have all these dedicated, passionate, and selfless young adults working to help keep our community safe.” Legislator Goetz said about her experience attending the installation dinner. “I wish the newly appointed officers luck, and thank them for all they do for the community.”
