Elmont, NY - February 1, 2016 - Good Samaritan of the Month: Gina Burnett takes great pride in serving her community. Assemblywoman Solages (Elmont-D) honored Gina for her recent work on a toy drive hosted in conjunction with the Church of the Harvest in Elmont. Gina Burnett is an active member of several community organizations, serving as a Board Trustee of the Elmont Memorial Library; leader at the Church of the Harvest; CEO of The Community Helpers, Inc.; and member of the Argo Civic Association. Mrs. Burnett believes “No man is an island; it is the benevolence of others and partnerships that allow us to succeed.” She hopes to continue her work by fostering unity and advocating for families in her community.
