CANCELLED - Nassau County Authorities Seeking Missing Juvenile from Hempstead

Hempstead, NY - February 1, 2019 - Missing Persons Squad detectives are investigating a missing juvenile from Hempstead that occurred on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 8:00 am and was reported to police at 1:37 am on February 1, 2019.
 
According to detectives, Mekhi Tanksley, 14, a male black, was last seen leaving his home on Linden Place. He is described as 5’7” tall, 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black hooded shirt and his destination is unknown.
 
Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above listed Missing Juvenile contact the Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
