Crooked Couple Caught on Camera Stuffing Their Pockets with Stolen Goods at Garden City Department Store
The Third Squad reports a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January, 31, 2024 at 5:23 pm in East Garden City.
According to detectives, two subjects entered the Macy's located at 630 Old Country Road, and began to select and conceal items. Both subjects proceeded to exit the store and passed all points of purchase without rendering payment for the merchandise. Two loss prevention employees approached both subjects and a struggled ensued. The female subject became combative, as she began pushing and kicking a security officer. Both subjects then fled on foot westbound into the blue parking garage.
Subsequent to the investigation, it was revealed that both subjects were also involved in an earlier incident at Maggiano's Little Italy located at 600 Garden City Plaza, Garden City. Both subjects failed to render payment after dinning at the restaurant and fled the scene.
The subjects are described as a male black and a female white, both approximately thirty years of age. No further description at this time.
