NCPD: Queens Man Arrested After Allegedly Stealing $100,000 in Commercial Kitchen Equipment

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a larceny that occurred between Monday, July 15, 2024 and Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in Carle Place.
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded to 347 Old Country Road for stolen commercial kitchen equipment. An unknown person unlawfully entered the premise and removed the various items totaling approximately $100,000 USC. 
 
After a thorough investigation was conducted, it was determined Defendant Mohamed Assaedi, 46, of 196-75 Mclaughlin Avenue was responsible for the above incident. He was placed under arrest inside Posh Organic Market and Deli located at 3266 Merrick Road, Wantagh where the commercial equipment was recovered. 
 
Defendant Mohamad Assaedi is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
