Hempstead, NY - February 6, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of two men that occurred on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 8:05 p.m in Hempstead.
According to detectives, Third Squad detectives along with the Hempstead Police Department executed a search warrant at the home of defendant Jahbar O. Cobert (pictured right) at 77 W. Graham Street at which time a loaded .44 caliber hand gun was recovered. Colbert was placed under arrest at the scene with out incident. Defendant Tyreek Limehouse, 27 of 1561 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont was at the home during the search and attempted to impede the detectives ability to conduct the search. He was then also placed under arrest at the scene.
Colbert is charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. Limehouse is charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration.
Both defendants will be arraigned on Thursday, February 06, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
