A new restaurant is set to open in Garden City. Stone Street Wood Fired Grill opens up next Wednesday according to reports, replacing the old Hurricane Grill at 630 Stewart Avenue.

Stone Street Wood Fired Grill is from Chadwicks Restaurant Group chef and owner, Art Gustafson, who has already brought a number of big ideas to Long Island, including Primehouse in Garden City, and Salsa Mexicana and Chadwicks in Rockville Centre.

Gustafson says the 140-seat restaurant will be a “live fire” kitchen featuring a wood fired grill as well as a rotisserie.

The menu will focus on classic dishes reimagined with smoke and fire, including cast iron skillet sizzling steaks and fish, garlic herb rubbed rotisserie chicken, rotisserie prime rib, house crispy wood fired wings, fall off the bone kona ribs, double stacked burgers, and wood grilled pizzas.

The bar will feature 16 craft and imported beers, custom flavored hard seltzers house made to order and creative cocktails, in a trendy modern-industrial decor.

“We are building a deliciously fun dining experience for people who want exceptional food and drinks but don’t want to spend a lot of money,” said Gustafson.

Location: 630 Stewart Ave, Garden City, (516) 280-9414.
