The East Hampton Library collection of images has some rare and interesting photos from Long Island's history. According to a description with the photo, this image shows Miss Anna Swain and Samuel Parsons, the assistant postmaster, in front of a post office. It was taken in East Hampton probably sometime between 1844 and 1900, according to the historical collection website.
