AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Village Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people involved in a triple shooting in Southampton last month.

Southampton, NY - February 9th, 2016 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Village Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people involved in a triple shooting in Southampton last month.

A man exited a white 2011 Toyota Camry, fired a shotgun into a group of people, striking three men on Hillcrest Avenue on January 25 at 5:56 p.m. The shooter got back into the car, which was occupied by several people, and the vehicle fled the scene.

The victims were treated at Southampton Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
