Islip, NY - February 9, 2017 - Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter is advising residents to stay indoors and off the roads. Even though snowfall appears to be tapering off, temperatures are dropping, creating treacherous driving conditions. Senior citizens are advised to avoid  the temptation to venture outside and drive, or shovel snow. Today’s weather event is the perfect opportunity for residents to come together and help one another in their community.
